TOGETHXR to PLAY IT FORWARD with Book Launch & Little Free Libraries

PLAY IT FORWARD: How Women Are Changing Sports to Change the World available March 4

Women’s college basketball conference tournaments to host book swap initiative

LOS ANGELES (February 27, 2025) – Trailblazing sports media and commerce company TOGETHXR – which originated the trademarked slogan “Everyone Watches Women’s Sports” – will kick off Women’s History Month with the release of its first book on March 4 entitled PLAY IT FORWARD: How Women Are Changing Sports to Change the World published by Chronicle Books. As a nod to the title, TOGETHXR is taking it one step further to play it forward for the women’s sports community by making its new release and other women’s sports books available at women’s college basketball conference tournaments across the country from March 5-15.

In celebration of women’s sports stories, TOGETHXR has partnered with national nonprofit organization Little Free Library® (LFL) and women’s conference tournament organizers from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big 12, Big East, Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), and West Coast Conference (WCC) to install a Little Free Library filled with 40 books, all celebrating women in sports, at each of their respective conference championship venues. Fans attending games are invited to participate in a book swap, as they “play it forward” by leaving a women's sports book while borrowing one in return.

PLAY IT FORWARD features a foreword and afterword by Alex Morgan and Sue Bird that set the stage and offer key context for this inspirational collection of 25 stories of women who are defying the odds and breaking the rules by rebelling against inequality in big and small ways.

As TOGETHXR remains focused on increased visibility for women athletes and their stories, the company co-founded by sports media veteran Jessica Robertson alongside world-champion athletes Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Simone Manuel and Chloe Kim remains committed to pulling women athletes and women’s sports from the margins to instead place them front and center with authentic and empowered storytelling.

“TOGETHXR is proud to partner with these leading collegiate conferences to champion the power of women’s sports – one book at a time,” said TOGETHXR co-founder and Chief Content Officer Jessica Robertson. “By bringing books to the heart of the biggest month in college basketball, TOGETHXR’s release of PLAY IT FORWARD: How Women Are Changing Sports to Change the World and this impactful initiative are fostering deeper visibility and appreciation of the achievements of female athletes.”
