A study from a 2023 National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) found that 4 out of 5 mothers are unable to join evening leagues due to childcare costs and scheduling conflicts.

The project emphasizes the need for community support to make sports more accessible for mothers. This short documentary delves into the challenges mothers face in balancing amateur soccer with the demands of work and family. The film follows two soccer players as they navigate the obstacles of lack of time, childcare, and societal expectations.

Professional female athletes still face disparities in resources and support compared to their male counterparts. For everyday mothers, the journey back to the game can be even more challenging. This project is a call to action, encouraging more mothers to step onto the pitch—because being a mother doesn’t define all that you are. You’re a mother and you don't have to choose.

We partnered with Kelly McKay, 10x10 Studios and Attacking Third to bring you this inspiring short documentary.
