USA Fencing Names TOGETHXR Official Media Partner to Amplify Fencing at a Historic Moment for the Sport

Sep 22, 2026

TOGETHXR’s first-ever partnership with a National Governing Body, will bring its signature storytelling platform to USA Fencing as the most dominant fencing program in American history pursues Olympic gold on home soil.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Fencing, the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of fencing in the United States, has named TOGETHXR, the fastest-growing and most engaging women’s sports media company, as its Official Media Partner in a two-year deal that will bring TOGETHXR’S award-winning storytelling platform to a sport whose athletes are on one of the most dominant runs in American Olympic history.

The partnership, which runs through 2028, will center on the road to the Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics, following the fencing athletes as they train, compete and chase gold on home soil. Under the agreement, TOGETHXR will have access to USA Fencing athletes, teams and competitions to produce documentary-style content, behind-the-scenes features and social-first storytelling designed to introduce the sport and its culture to new audiences. The two organizations will also coordinate cross-platform amplification, joint marketing campaigns and talent cross-participation at major events in both fencing and the broader women’s sports landscape.

The deal arrives at a moment when women’s fencing in the United States has never been stronger. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lee Kiefer OLY defended her individual foil gold medal and then helped lead the U.S. Women’s Foil team to its first-ever Olympic team gold — the first team gold for any American fencing squad in Olympic history. Lauren Scruggs OLY earned individual silver, becoming the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic fencing medal.

At the 2025 World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, Kiefer won her first individual world title in the event’s 96-year history, and the Women’s Foil team took gold again. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Jaelyn Liu burst onto the world stage, winning three gold medals at the 2025 Junior and Cadet World Championships and becoming the youngest American ever to win a senior World Cup event.

The momentum extends to the collegiate level. In March, the NCAA crowned its first-ever standalone women’s fencing champion when Notre Dame edged Columbia at the Joyce Center in South Bend, Ind. The new championship format, the result of years of advocacy by USA Fencing and the collegiate fencing community, gave women-only programs a legitimate path to the national team title for the first time since 1989. That milestone came after the NCAA Division I Council voted last June to establish separate men’s and women’s championships, correcting a gender equity issue identified in the league’s comprehensive review of its championship structure.

“The story of women’s fencing in America right now is one of the great untold stories in sports,” says Phil Andrews, CEO of USA Fencing. “We have Olympic champions, world champions and a teenager who is rewriting the record books, and in two years they’ll compete for gold on home soil in Los Angeles. TOGETHXR has built the most powerful platform in women’s sports media, and together we’re going to make sure the world sees what the fencing community already knows: these athletes are extraordinary, and their stories deserve to be told at the highest level.”

"This partnership marks an exciting milestone as TOGETHXR's first collaboration with a National Governing Body," said Kati Fernandez, Chief Content Officer of TOGETHXR. "USA Fencing has built a remarkable legacy of success on the world stage, and we're proud to help bring greater visibility to the athletes behind it. Together, we'll elevate the stories of both women's and men's fencing, deepen connections with existing fans, introduce the sport to new audiences, and build momentum on the road to LA28."

What the Partnership Includes

As USA Fencing’s Official Media Partner, TOGETHXR will receive competition highlight access and work alongside USA Fencing to develop original content across multiple formats. Plans include documentary-style features following U.S. athletes on the road to Los Angeles, cross-platform social and digital storytelling, and on-the-ground coverage at major domestic and international competitions. The partnership also calls for talent and athlete cross-participation, with TOGETHXR bringing its athletes, creators and affiliated personalities to USA Fencing events and USA Fencing athletes appearing at TOGETHXR activations and women’s sports tentpole events.

Eyes on Los Angeles

Fencing at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, marking the first time the Games have been held in the United States since 2002 (Winter) and 1996 (Summer). The U.S. women’s foil program will enter the LA28 cycle as a medal favorite after sweeping individual and team gold at both the 2024 Olympics and 2025 World Championships. With established stars in Kiefer and Scruggs, a rising generation led by Liu and a home crowd behind them, the program offers a storytelling opportunity unlike any other in American Olympic sport.
